"American Idol" finalist and Hawaii native Jasmine Trias will make a cameo on FOX's "North Shore" next week.

Trias will play herself in the episode, scheduled for Monday (July 12). She won't be central to the show's story, though, as there are bigger, soapier doings afoot at the Grand Waimea Hotel.

Chief among them is the return of Tessa's (Amanda Righetti) con-man ex, Roy (Paul Francis). He wants Tessa to help him run a scam at the hotel, but she has ideas of her own.

Jason (Kristoffer Polaha) and Grand Waimea owner Vincent (James Remar), meanwhile, wonder if Nicole's (Brooke Burns) fiance, Morgan (Josh Hopkins), has motives other than love for staying at the hotel. Morgan works for Nicole's hotel-magnate father, who's been targeting the Grand Waimea for acquisition, and Jason and Vincent begin to think he might be an advance man.

Trias, who finished third in this year's "Idol" competition, is a native of Mililani, Hawaii, a town in Oahu's interior. She's currently touring with her fellow Season 3 finalists.
